To this end we've been increasing the team sizes and the amount of time between releases to improve quality, we've been getting better at collating feedback and we've been building up our internal tech to improve the experience offered. Ultimately, I believe if the players are happy, then they will buy what we sell, without any underhanded or nefarious tricks. People like to make assumptions, they like conspiracy theories, speculation, gossip, etc, its quite natural, the important thing for me though is that we cut through that and make sure that we get feedback that helps move things forward with our games. Obviously there are plenty of different teams working on the different games, but I actually work directly on Imperator, which is why I'm posting here quite a bit. In the case of Paradox though, I'm responsible for our entire strategy games portfolio, which means I know quite a bit about what goes on in my segment. Messaggio originale di Nalidus:You clearly don't understand corporate greed and their need for propaganda to rake in the cash for their shareholders at whatever the cost. Bethesda and now Paradox going on my "dont trust" list. I have to say the last 2 years of gaming has been an absolute disappointment. It is somehow a much grander version of Imperator: Rome, more in depth, and more expansive, just with lesser quality graphics. I even bought EU:Rome to play it and test it. ![]() I've ALWAYS argued against that, but what conclusion am I supposed to make with this new found evidence? I've always argued, and defended paradox against the nay sayers who say they are just releasing empty games and then charging 200$ worth of dlcs in the next 4-5 years to make it complete. It's nearly criminal in my eyes, as a gamer, and supporter of Paradox. Not only did they gut an existing game, polish the shell, then re release it with a new name, they silenced everyone who mentioned EU:Rome during development, including kicking a youtuber off their early access who made the same comparison. The only thing done in Imperator: Rome that's different is an upgrade to the map, UI changes, and ripping out mechanics from EU:Rome and replacing it with nothing. The mechanics, the world, the time line, the trade. That game is literally everything Imperator:Rome is. It was only a few days ago I learned of Europa Universalis:Rome even existed. The initial release did not meet my expectations for a paradox game by any means, but that's honestly not what made me speechless. ![]() It didn't seem to have much to it, but "its a new game" I thought. When Imperator Rome was about to come out I was a little worried. It's why I've enjoyed CKII, Europa III, and IV, Hearts of Iron 2, and 3, Stellaris, etc. I love the fact that they make games with the full plan to fully update, and continue developing them for the next several years or more by giving good expansions, and updates. I still over all support their dlc policy and how they do things. I used to support and defend Paradox to a high degree. I know I'm a bit late on this, but I only just recently found this out.
